It's a beautiful day!
Jamie from Canon called to say that my Rebel XT is fully recovered and ready for pick-up! Mr. Rebel had a serious surgery to replace two circuit boards: 1. main 2. auto focus.
Apparently the main circuit board was defective and was shorting out the auto focus circuit board. It looks like the fall was either a coincidence or only expedited the inevitable.
I wonder if this is why I was having problems with focusing? I still think I am the problem, but I would be elated to find out that it was the camera and not me.
Imagine that.
Now that the Rebel is clean and healthy, I will know the answer for sure. Could a future of 100% super sharp beautiful photos lie ahead? Somehow I doubt it. But, even an iota of improvement in focus would make my world sing.
We shall see.
